As can be seen from the table the Bank of England used the first half of the month in even years and the last half of the month in odd years, to print genuine White Five pound banknotes. This and all other aspects the forgers copied meticulously.

Ammunition boxes found at the bottom of Lake Toplitzsee containing the German forgeries.
